By integrating the ability to generate clean power into the design of a pop-up canopy, the Solar Tent vastly expands the potential of a quickly deployable shelter.

With a 10' x 10' footprint, this initial prototype is rated at 1400 watts. The solar array attaches via military grade velcro, and folds down to the size of a large suit case. The modified aluminum frame is specially designed to support the additional weight of the solar array, which is angled at 21 degrees in order to achieve maximal power generation in a south facing orientation.
